  Brigadoon Roles and Overview

  

  Brigadoon is a musical by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Lowe, first produced in 1947. It tells the story of a mysterious village in Scotland, which appears for only one day every hundred years. Far from being a curse, the enchantment is viewed by the villagers as a blessing. According to their covenant with God, no one from Brigadoon may ever leave the village, or the enchantment will be broken and Brigadoon and all its inhabitants will disappear into the mist forever. Two American tourists, lost in the Highlands, stumble upon the village just as a wedding is about to be celebrated, and their arrival has serious implications for the village’s inhabitants.

  Brigadoon Auditions March 28-29, 2009

March 29, 2009 1:00 pm to March 30, 2009 6:00 pm. ] The Leawood Stage Company will hold auditions for Lerner and Loewe’s classic musical “BRIGADOON” on Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Oak Room of the Community Center, on the lower level of Leawood City Hall. Enter the building through the north doors.

About Leawood Stage Company

Since 1998 the Leawood Stage Company has worked in partnership with the City of Leawood and Leawood Parks and Recreation Department to present a variety of entertainment with musicals, plays, Shakespeare readings and talent shows. LSC strives to provide quality entertainments to the local community.

Leawood Stage Company is a true community theater experience, focusing on family. From the members of the cast, musicians, and volunteers, LSC involves the community with a passion for theater. LSC is an all volunteer organization from the members of the board to those that work vigorously behind the scenes. Many of our performers continue to participate in our productions year after year and support our theater family.
