Welcome to Leawood Stage Company

Since 1998, the Leawood Stage Company has worked in partnership with the City of Leawood and Leawood Parks and Recreation Department to provide high quality entertainment, while educating and enriching lives in the local community.  


The Leawood Stage Company’s mission includes presenting theatrical productions, educational programming, community building, and business-community cooperation.


Now in its 19th season, the Leawood Stage Company is a community theater experience, involving families and participants of all ages.  LSC is a volunteer organization from the board of directors to the members of the cast, musicians, and staff who work vigorously behind the scenes. Calling all actors and singers!


The Leawood Stage Company will hold auditions for two shows, a Broadway musical, Bonnie & Clyde directed by Steven Eubank, and an original music revue From Broadway with Love directed by Chris McCoy on Sunday, January 15th from 1:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Oak Room on the lower level of Leawood City Hall. Auditioners should enter through the north doors of the building. Audition applications will be accepted 30 minutes prior to the end of each time period.


Callbacks will be held by invitation only on Monday at 6:30 at City Hall.


Everyone auditioning must prepare 16 measures of a song from a musical.  Please bring sheet music in your key as an accompanist will be provided.

Bring a photo and resume if available (not required). No appointment time is necessary as auditions are first come, first served. Audition forms may be filled out in advance by downloading the form HERE.


If you cannot attend auditions, video or YouTube auditions will be accepted.  Please contact April Bishop at least a week prior to the audition weekend to make arrangements.  For conflicts please email aprilb@leawood.org.


From Broadway with Love will be presented in the Oak Room of Leawood City Hall at 7:30 pm on February 10, 11 and at 2 pm on February 12.  This music revue will perform songs about romance in honor of Valentine’s Day.  The show will be presented as “dessert theater” featuring dessert and beverages, making this a perfect date for couples or event for groups of friends.


Bonnie & Clyde will be presented inside the Lodge at Ironwoods Park on March 23, 24, 25, 26.  Leawood Stage Company is proud to present the Kansas City premier of this Broadway musical with music by the legendary Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde), book by Evan Menchell and lyrics by Don Black.  Bonnie & Clyde examines the compelling adventure America's most notorious lovers and bank robbers.
